Details to consider when designing a Wood P.O.P. Display:
Shipping: Shipping Point of Purchase Displays can be very challenging. You want to save on freight costs, so shipping Knock Down (KD) makes perfect sense. However, you then rely on the retailer to assemble your unit properly. Will they tighten all connections? Will they strip bolts? Will they install the graphic?  All of these factors are considered when we design and engineer your wood point of purchase program. The majority of time, we can design the unit to only work properly with permanent signage, ensuring your logo or graphics are part of the assembly. The last thing you want is to give a retailer a free unit with no identification, so they can put your competitor’s product on it.  Graphics/Signage: Signage is key with the identification of your brand. Any good marketing program starts with an easily identifiable brand strategy. Flexibility in signage options allows us to duplicate your brand. You have just a few seconds to grab the attention of the shopper; make it count! Adjustability: Although much effort is put into planning the ideal number of SKU units to display on your Point of Purchase display, plans do change after time. Next year’s packaging might change size, so the number of SKU’s will change as well. Having adjustable shelves allows for future package size changes, making your P.O.P. investment last longer. Product visibility: Not all product display needs are the same. Some packaging has labeling on the front, some on top. This is critical to discuss with us in the design phase. We can use flat shelves, or tilt them depending on the need of your packaging. Drop Ship Vs. Bulk Ship: Any program we put together can be drop shipped, bulk shipped to a regional distribution center, or a combination of both. Sometimes there needs to be product packaged with the display before final delivery, so it makes better sense to ship to a distribution center for the re-packaging process. When deciding how many units you need, we’ll discuss how much you think a one to three month supply is. Part of any Store Display Fixture program requires floor store display fixtures. 

Floor display fixtures need to be very versatile,  so Newood has designed floor fixtures to meet a variety of retail display situations. Below is a long list of wood displays from which to choose. Some match the perimeter wall and back to back display systems and some of our floor fixtures have been designed for a specific display need. In each case, displays have been designed to provide the necessary strength and versatility needed for hanging garments and providing sturdy shelf support. The floor fixtures listed below ship KD, saving crating and freight cost.

Designing and supplying wood shelving and retail fixture displays for wine and liquor stores has been a big part of Newood’s wine display business for 30 years. Listed below are wood racks and wall shelving for merchandising wine bottles that really work. Wood compliments wine and whether displayed laid down, in baskets or merchandised standing upright, we provide many options that are visually pleasing. 

Displaying wine, liquor, spirits or any bottled goods requires extra strong wood shelves that hold at least 300# per shelf. All of Newood’s wine and spirits storage shelving is designed to exceed that requirement, with extra strength to spare. The cost to display wine per bottle is a fair way of determining the comparative cost of any wine display fixture. Newood offers a variety of retail wine display options with varying per bottle cost.  

When browsing through our many different wine and liquor fixture designs, keep in mind most wine racks are designed to hold a typical bottle size. Cash wraps and retail checkout counters are an important part of any store.  Newood offers a wide range of modular wood counter displays including cash wrap counters, back wrap counters, full vision showcases, half vision showcases and register stands with well tops that will likely work for your needs.  Our modular designs come in both curved and straight versions and are available in a variety of lengths to work in any space.   Pre-designed modular cash wraps keep costs down and lead time short. 

As with our wood display fixtures our modular cash wraps and custom cash wraps are offered in maple or oak, clear lacquer finish or stained.  Newood recommends a laminate top  for durability.

If you have a more special need for your checkout counter we can design a more custom look.  Our custom cash wrap counters will set your store apart.  Custom counters can be made from just about any material your design requires including solid surface tops.  If you have a specific design from your own professional or need help we can accommodate your needs.

There is nothing more basic to the art of displaying merchandise than using tables, pedestals and bins. Fortunately, Newood offers a wide range of quality wood tables designs from which to choose. Most of these designs ship KD, which save packaging, freight and costs due too damage occurring during handling and shipping. Plain ¾” edges can be ordered taped or up graded by adding moulded trim to table edges whether nesting tables, 2 level, 3 level, or 4 level tables.

Material options include Oak, Maple, and in some cases, lower cost Melamine and Western (farmed) Poplar. Our display tables are used for merchandising any product needing a flat surface, including shoes. Items specifically used for shoe departments are cubes, shoe stools and shoe mirrors. Recently, Newood introduced lower cost nesting tables and cubes made with Oregon farm grown Western Poplar. 
 

Newood incorporates slatwall in a number of standard display fixtures including Designer's Choice systems, Shelving systems, Newlock gondolas and Book gondolas.   Newood also offers all slatwall displays in Oak, Maple, Oak melamine and Maple melamine.  To compliment our slatwall we have developed a full line of accessories in solid Oak and Maple.
